Terms of Use
These Terms govern access to and use of RouteZA. By using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.
1. RouteZA's role
RouteZA is a travel information, comparison, discovery and referral platform forming part of the Flight Mate Leisure Travel Network. Unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular service, RouteZA is not the airline, accommodation provider, vehicle-rental provider, tour operator, booking provider, payment processor or merchant of record for a third-party booking.
2. Third-party bookings
When you proceed to a third-party booking provider, any contract for travel services is concluded subject to that provider's and the underlying travel supplier's terms. Prices, availability, schedules, baggage, fare rules, change fees, cancellation rights, refunds, check-in requirements and fulfilment are controlled by the relevant provider or supplier. You must review the final booking page before payment.
3. Accuracy and changing travel information
We take reasonable steps to provide useful information, but travel information changes frequently. RouteZA does not warrant that informational content, indicative planning tools, route availability, schedules, entry requirements or third-party prices will remain current or error-free. Live booking information displayed by an external provider is subject to that provider's systems and confirmation.
4. Traveller responsibility
You are responsible for checking names, dates, airports, destinations, passport and visa requirements, transit requirements, health requirements, baggage rules, fare conditions, insurance needs and all material booking details before purchase and travel. Government, embassy, airline, airport and booking-provider information should be used for final verification where applicable.
5. Prices and planning tools
Unless expressly identified as a current third-party booking result, prices, budget bands, calculators, connection scores and similar RouteZA tools are informational planning aids and not offers, quotations, guarantees or representations that travel can be purchased at a stated amount. The price shown by the booking provider at final confirmation governs the transaction.
6. Affiliate relationships
RouteZA may earn commissions or referral fees when users click or transact through selected third-party links or widgets. Affiliate compensation does not transfer responsibility for the third-party service to RouteZA. Material affiliate relationships are disclosed on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
7. Acceptable use
You may use the website for lawful personal or business travel research. You may not interfere with website security, scrape or harvest data at a scale that materially burdens the service, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person, circumvent access controls, misuse intellectual property, or use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
8. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise indicated, RouteZA's original website design, written content, databases, compilation, branding and other original materials are owned by or licensed to the Flight Mate Leisure Travel Network and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Third-party names, marks, widgets and content remain the property of their respective owners.
9. External websites
Links and embedded services may take you to independent third parties. RouteZA is not responsible for the content, security, availability or conduct of an independent third-party website, subject always to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RouteZA and the Flight Mate Leisure Travel Network are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising solely from reliance on general website information or from acts, omissions, cancellations, delays, insolvency, system failures or fulfilment decisions of independent third-party travel providers. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, rights or remedies that may not lawfully be excluded or limited under South African law, including applicable consumer-protection legislation.
11. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend or discontinue website features and update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after publication of revised Terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights or statutory forum that applies, disputes may be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction in South Africa. Nothing prevents a consumer from using a competent statutory regulator, ombud or dispute-resolution mechanism where applicable.
13. Severability and entire terms
If a provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, it will be severed or limited to the minimum extent necessary without invalidating the remaining provisions. These Terms, together with incorporated policies and any specific terms displayed for a RouteZA service, constitute the applicable website terms.
