POPIA Notice
RouteZA, as part of the Flight Mate Leisure Travel Network, is committed to processing personal information lawfully and reasonably in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”). This notice supplements the RouteZA Privacy Policy.
Responsible processing
Personal information is collected only where reasonably necessary for defined purposes such as responding to enquiries, operating and securing the website, measuring referral performance, complying with law and administering lawful communications. Information will not be processed in a manner incompatible with the purpose for which it was collected without a lawful basis.
Data-subject requests
Subject to POPIA, a data subject may request access to personal information, request correction or deletion where applicable, object to processing in circumstances provided by law, or withdraw consent where consent is the processing basis. We may require reasonable proof of identity and authority before disclosing or changing personal information.
Direct marketing
Electronic direct marketing will be conducted only on a lawful basis under POPIA. Where prior consent is required, it will be sought in accordance with applicable requirements. Marketing communications will provide a reasonable method to opt out, and an opt-out will be respected subject to communications that remain legally necessary or otherwise permitted.
Operators, security and incidents
Where an operator processes personal information on our behalf, appropriate safeguards are required. We maintain reasonable measures to protect information against loss, unlawful access, interference, modification, destruction or unauthorised disclosure and will address security compromises in accordance with applicable legal obligations.
Cross-border transfers
Where we are responsible for transferring personal information outside South Africa, the transfer will be made only where permitted by POPIA and subject to an appropriate lawful basis or safeguard.

You may first contact RouteZA regarding a privacy concern. Nothing in this notice limits your right to approach the Information Regulator or exercise any other right available under applicable law.
